Lois Jean Simmons

I worked for her husband at JCPENNEY he had this painting in his office...I fell in love with it I use to see Lois at her gallery in old town, Had long talks she was so talented...I am so proud I have this print

Lois had a beautiful tradition. She would make dinner on a Sunday night. She had foreign exchange students living there as well. Her boys, their girlfriends , we were all there' no excuses. During the evening we went around the table and shared what we did that week. I loved this experience! This beautiful tradition has gotten lost in todays me society! I lived with her for close to three years. I was son number 4. She's responsible for me getting serious about tennis. I was a baseball...

Another Lois story. I was renting from her in the early 90'svin North Park. We could not find the cat Sprout. We could hear it though. Sprout was inside my guitar case, chilling out. It must have enjoyed the soft lining. I will go hit some tennis b balls in your honor. Happy Birthday Mom!

Lois was a second Mother to me. I just found out she passed away. She always called me Son #4. She will live on in my heart! Say hi to my Mom Lois!

LOis was a very kind lady ,good friend and I will always miss her ,

She was the Varsity Tennis coach for girls at Valhalla High School, and I was one of the assistant helpers for her. She related very well to all the kids and they all really liked her as did I.
