Lola M. Morrow, 90, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at The Madison. She was born on November 9, 1924 in Rutledge, MO to Mason & Ula Bassett Edwards. She married Ray H. Garrett on April 6, 1946 in Fort Madison, IA. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1973. She then married Lee M. Morrow on July 2, 1977 in Fort Madison, IA. He preceded her in death on January 2, 1993. She worked at the Santa Fe Railroad and later the Sheaffer Pen Company, but she was mostly a homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church, where she was active in the Cowdry-Huber Circle. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge and enjoyed line dancing, reading, sewing and volunteering at the Fort Madison Health Center, later The Madison. Lola is survived by: 2-sons: Rex (Dee Dee) Garrett of Fort Madison, IA & Rodney (Diana) Garrett of Fort Madison, IA; 4-grandchildren: Ryan (Kate) Garrett of Austin, TX, Brent (Kim) Garrett of Cedar Rapids, IA, Chad Lynch of Fort Madison, IA & Stephany Ball of Fort Madison, IA; 7-great grandchildren; 1-great great grandson and 1-sister: Margie Dent of Rocheport, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands & 2-sisters. Cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2015 with the family to receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. John Simpson officiating. Burial will be held in Oakland Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the First Christian Church.
