My heart just sank when I saw Mr. Lonnie’s picture and obituary. I didn’t know him personally, but we both worked at UAB. I would see him in passing and he would say, “Let me see that smile!” So, every time I saw him, I would smile. He was such a friendly person. My heart and prayers go out to his family!

I´ve known Lonnie for many many years we worked together at the City Of Birmingham,he always had a smile I will truly miss him,Rest in Peace my Brother.The Lomax Family.

I met Lonnie in 1974. Shortly after getting out the Army a year later, Lonnie, our friend Will and I started a singing group and we called ourselves "The Renowns". Lonnie was the center of the group because of his three pitch range. Godspeed my brother. Love you. Conray
