I was so sorry to hear about Lonnie. You were my second family when I was growing up and I have many happy memories. I loved sitting on the patio at night when the boys and Joan would get the guitars out and sing. My prayers are with you.

Carol,
I am very sorry to hear about Lonnie. Although I did not know him well, I remember you and remember how happy the two of you were together. As my first secretary you did your best to start me off on the right foot, and it appears you trained me well. I pray that your memories will be bring you comfort until you and Lonnie are together once again.
Jo Ann

Carol, Lori, Aunt Margaret & Uncle Gene, Mike and Joan,

I am sadden at the news of Lonnie's passing but comforted to know that he is with our savior. I have fond childhood memories when Lonnie lived with us for a short while before joining the Navy. He would play the guitar and we all sang "Puff, the Magic Dragon." Please know that many are praying for your peace and comfort in your time of grief.

Love

Dear Carol,

I knew Lonnie when he was in the navy at Oceana and saw him a few times after. I was saddened to hear of Lonnies passing. I pray you are comforted by his memories and gain strength from the support of family and friends. Lonnie was a sharp and witty guy. I always enjoyed seeing him and hearing his stories. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Dear Carol,
I'm so sorry to hear about Lonnie's departure from this Earth. I worked with Lonnie at Norfolk Tower and enjoyed his good nature. He will be missed.

I'm an old friend of Lonnie's from his high school and Navy years. I was very sorry to hear of his passing, and I offer my deepest condolences.
Lonnie was larger than life, sang beautifully, and was incredibly entertaining. I also spent time with him (as a visitor) at NAS Oceana, and was impressed with his air traffic control skills. We had a lot of fun together over the years.
We were in sporadic touch in recent decades, though I wish we could have connected again. I will always...

carol--i hope Lonnie's passing was a blessing and that anew door will open for you. I have the fondest memories and the friendship will endure.
