CSM Lonzell Stewart served his soldiers with devotion and commitment to a betterment of the Army. In Oct 73, then Trans School Commandant Col Orman Hicks spoke of then 1st SG Stewart, I "told the General I've never seen a company look as good as Company B, 1st Student Battalion."

I know that this condolence is years after CSM Stewart's passing, but I just made an internet search for him today as I was remembering him. I was one of the many inept soldiers that he guided through the infancy of our Army service. I was a 2LT whose first assignment was in a training company at Ft.
