Not sure what to say?

In reading about this wonderful, gifted, compassionate man, I am honored to share the McGlohon and all spellings of this names in my line. Please except my thoughts and prayers in this time of loss.

IT WAS TRULY AN HONOR TO BE INDUCTED INTO THE NORTH CAROLINA MUSIC HALL OF FAME WITH LOONIS. HIS GREATNESS WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. THANK YOU FOR THE TIME YOU SHARED WITH US. I WILL MISS YOU. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS. BILLY SCOTT

I never met the man but I have heard only wonderful comments about him. And as for his music, it will be around for a long, long time. As the song says, "thanks for the memories," Loonis.

Loonis was a true friend to me over the years. I was so honored each time he called me to engineer a recording session for him, when I lived in Charlotte. I always realized that I was in the presence of greatness, and a truely kind man. I know that he is nowplaying piano, writing new songs, and directing a wonderful choir in heaven. And there's is no more pain from his health problems. God Bless Loonis McGlohon...david floyd

Though our paths only crossed in person a couple of times, Loonis's music has been in my home for years. We played it yesterday all day long with best thoughts and thanks for the man who gave us many things, most especially "Blackberry Winter."

Just to let you know you are in our thoughts. Edna Earle called me on Saturday, Joe had called her. We were all so sorry to hear the news.Edna and I are so thankful that we got to hear him last spring. He will be missed by so many. Love and prayers to all the family from us. Cousin Jeanette

Loonis McGlohan will be greatly missed. The GFWC Junior Woman's Club of Charlotte was always proud to have him a part of our Serenade to Autumn Fashion Show. We shall remember him through his fabulous music.
