Obituary
LOWERY, Lorelle Hutchison, age 93, of Tappahannock, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Wesley Lowery Jr. Together they established Lowery's Restaurant in 1938. She is survived by her four children, Patricia Waters and her husband, Jerry, William Lowery and his wife, Sharon, Rob Lowery and his wife, Nancy, Michael Lowery and his wife, Mary Beth; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Lowery was active in her church, Beale Memorial Baptist, as well as The Essex County Women's Club. In addition, she quietly supported her community, friends, and family. The family will receive friends at Marks-Bristow Funeral Home on Thursday, May 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Beale Memorial Baptist Church with interment at Essex Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Beale Memorial Baptist Church Pavilion Playground Fund, P.O. Box 816, Tappahannock, Va. 22560.
