Not sure what to say?

I echo my thoughts of October 2010 about Bud. He was the boss to remember! He was one to remember as being fair and honest. Fred McDonnal

Bud had a world class sense of humor and whenever I run across a very funny joke, I think Bud would have liked that one!

Our deepest sympathy for your loss, Ann. We first became friends with Bud at Reed College ....benefitting already then from his mischievous wit and intelligence. Thank goodness he later reappeared in our lives in Portland from time to time, letting us also meet you and see the happiness you brought into his life.Bud was a "good man", and will be long remembered and missed by us all.

Dear Ann: I was completely shocked to hear of Bud's passing. Mary Lou told me she saw you and Bud at Marco's Cafe just weeks before. Bud was Oregon's encyclopedia of all things political. I have always appreciated his help and support when I ran for District Attorney; more than that, I valued his friendship. I have missed talking politics with him in recent years. Bud was smart and insightful. He could be counted upon for advice that was almost always on target. To sit down with Bud over a...

I knew Bud from the West Cafe. He and Ann were usually at my singing gigs there, and it was really nice to have them in the audience appreciating our music. Ann, I am very sorry for your loss - but reading over these guest book entries am getting a clear picture of someone who lived a vigorous, productive life to the fullest; who could ask for more than that? What a blessing. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Carol Rossio

Bud was my oldest friend. While we both were in high school we worked next to each other in the mail room at the Oregonian, inserting sections of the Sunday paper together. This job started at 11AM on Saturday and went until the last edition was out sometime early Sunday morning, usually between 4 and 7AM. This was a lot of time to talk every week and there was very little that we didn't come to know about each other. We both went to Reed College where we shared a small community of...

Ann, much regret we are out of town the day of Bud's memorial gathering. A full and exceptional life, a wonderfully peaceful death. With all our sympathy, Dich & Wendy Rahm

Bud, my brother, and I were great friends in high school. Afterwards, as I moved away, I saw him only a few times--always a great pleasure. In memory, Bud is a great favorite.

Ann,
Although I did not know Bud, I heard about him through you at our exercise group. I am sorry for your loss.
