Lorenza Dominguez of Las Cruces, NM  was given her wings and went to soar with the angels on February 20, 2026, at the age of 73. She was surrounded by loved ones when she passed.


Lorenza Dominguez was born on May 1952,  in Encino, NM. Lorenza retired after many years of housekeeping service in restaurants (Luby's and Grandy's), hotels (Holiday Inn Express) and hospitals (MMC). She was known for her warm smile and dedication. She loved caring for others and making them laugh. Known by many as Lori who loved to dance, enjoyed her music, and just being around her family and friends. Her hobbies included journal writing, crafts, collecting figurines, and volunteering at Benavidez and Munson Senior Center. She was a member of The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 10 where she was proud to honor her family members' who served in the military.


Lorenza is survived by sisters, Sandra Lucero, Linda (Lawrence) Garcia, Roberta Duran and daughter Stephanie (Kenny) Herrera and son Charles (Delia) Pena. Grandchildren Nora Chavez, Mandy Pena, Lil Charles Peña and Aubrey Herrera.  Great grandchildren Melani, Charlotte, Evelyn and Delia Benavidez.


She is preceded in death by her mother Aurora Duran, Father Celestino Dominguez and sisters Mary Jane Segura, Priscilla Duran, Betty Dominguez, also brother Celestino Dominguez Jr.


To honor our mother's memory, we are holding a celebration of life on April 10, 2026, starting at 2pm at Las Cruces First Church, 5605 Bataan Memorial West.


 We invite anyone who knew her to attend and remember her.

I met Lori when I was attending las Cruces first we both took the church van she was a wonderful lady may she rip she's in heaven with God
