It is truly bittersweet to lose one's parents; half sadness because they have left us, half relief as their struggles end, and 100% happy that they are in a better place, together again.

Patty, your Mom was one of my favorite people as I was growing up. Her cheerful nature, easy laugh and fabulous cream cheese and pineapple sandwiches conjure up fond memories of our childhood.
