Not sure what to say?

I hope you find comfort in the many memories. Loretta you will be missed. God Bless.

The words "Keeping it Real" best describes Loretta for me. She was "real" in every sense of the word. I only hope that those persons whose lives she touched truly were able to learn from her. I have. Loretta was truly one of a kind.

I will miss her and smile about her move to the "GREAT MANSION." God Bless you and all of the family. Love, Phyllis

I was saddened to hear about my relative's death. We attended high school together. All the things I read were true. She never changed over the years and apparently remained warm, friendly and loving. My family and I will miss her. Our prayers go the family.

I did not know Mrs. Hicks very long but whenever i came to her home she always made me feel welcome, and she was always pleasant. I'm positive she will be missed by many. My deepest sympathy for her family, you're in my prayers.

I first met Loretta when I came to DSS in the late 80's. She was in the "Basic Needs" Unit then and I would always have clients that needed something, usually at the last minute. Loretta ALWAYS GRACIOUSLY help me out and did it with a smile. I can see her saying "Let's see what we can find in the closet for them". She was a wonderful co-worker and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

There was only one Loretta. Her blend of candor, honesty, helpfulness, independence, graciousness, loyalty and charm was unique to her.No one could make you angrier. No one could make you love them more. I will miss my friend, but I have many fond memories of time spent together and laughter shared.

I am Carrie Ola Gilliam's niece by marriage. I met Loretta in the 50's and saw her again at Uncle Amos' funeral last February. She was a lovely person. I used to visit her as a child in Emporia.

I will miss Loretta's no nonsense style and the funny way that she use to mispronounce my name. My prayers are with the family.
