I am heartbroken about my dearest longest best friend. We sat side by side at Sears Roebuck on W. 31 st NYC. We so enjoyed one another's companionship. I cannot believe what I'm reading. I last spoke with Loretta on her birthday in October. I always called her on her birthday. I sent her emails in between to let her know I was thinking about her. My last email was 2 days ago. Now I know why I didn't get an answer back. Loretta was a fighter. She knew more about herself and her health better than any medical professional. Loretta was a respected contributing board member of the Piedmont Triad Chapter of APICS, serving as Treasurer for of the Chapter for many years. She was a welcoming face signing in attendees and providing information to folks at the chapter's professional development dinner meetings
