Not sure what to say?

I just learned of Loretta's passing this morning when she popped into my mind. I hadn't seen her in several years, however I've known her most of my life. I never was blessed with a sister and Loretta played that role for me for many years. When you are a young boy, you could not get a better sister/friend then Loretta. She had class and that almost indefinable "Savoir Faire". We lost touch these last few years, but she was an unforgettable, and inspirational part of what made me me! ...

I had the pleasure of meeting Loretta while interviewing her for a position at Vera Bradley. Instantly I knew that I loved her and needed to have her part of the team. She became a co-worker and also a friend. So many special stories and memories! When I think of Loretta I can only smile.

Loretta was a genuine and generous lady. I was lucky to have known her. Her sense of humor was unparalleled.. Not to mention her passionate and hospitable nature. Those parties that I had the fortune to attend in her lovely home were fun and memorable. She was a very special friend and she will hold a very special place in my heart forever.

Although we never met in person I heard about Loretta for years through another cousin. When we started to exchange emails I got to know Loretta as a warm, out going person. She will be missed by all who knew her.

I had the privilege of getting to know Loretta when I lived in Hillsborough. She was such an interesting lady to talk to, and I LOVED hearing all of her stories. I loved walking into her house, everything in it's place, all white, while listening to jazz music. She had such a zest for life. It sounded like she had many great parties at her house. I spent a couple of low-key New Year's parties with her. She came all decked out and ready to party. I am honored that I got to know her and...

What do you say about someone who I remember as a woman who celebrated life with vigor & energy, with an outgoing personality & contagious smile and who was a really cool Mom to my friend?

All I can say is, Loretta, you will be greatly missed! Now you are an angel in heaven. Love, MB
