Loretta "Wowie" Roach

I first met Loretta about 20 years ago and she was a mentor to me in many ways. In 1997, when I started the Jewish Organizing Initiative, she was one of the people I looked to for guidance, and she took in as an intern (fellow) a young man in our first year of operation in 1998 at the City-Wide Education Coalition, and she provided great training for him. My condolence to the entre family, my prayers are with each of you. Ms Loretta Roach is one of my heroes. I learned so much from her. I hold her spirit of justice close to me as we continue to fight for excellence and quality education for all of Bostons children. Rest in PeacE.
