Rest In Peace Loretta, Fond memories of a special classmate. We both came from smaller elementary schools and converged on to Wolf Junior High School eventually graduated at Easton Area High School in 1953. I was charmed by the fun and excitement children had while "learning" in Loretta´s class. Loretta´s ability to tell a story was legendary! It would start with ordinary circumstances - then turn into something quite extraordinary. We would howl with laughter, barely able to catch our breath. But the person, who laughed the heartiest, was Loretta, herself. I´m another DeYoung, who is a Loretta Scheetz fan.

She was a great teacher, loving, kind, and compassionate. She will be remembered fondly.

Miss Scheetz was a wonderful teacher! She built my love of language, an a love that I share with my wife and children to this day. I have nothing but fond memories of Miss Scheetz's fifth grade class, memories that I'm sure I share with many students from Margate.
