Loretta Mae Tipton

I worked with Ms. Tipton for several years when she was our librarian at Lakeview School. Always a delight to be with Loretta was kind and respectful to everyone from the smallest children to the the teachers and parents. It would be important to add that she was always wanting to improve the library collection to help a needy or a high functioning child. She made life better at Lakeview for all of us. I loved, loved, loved spending time in the Lakeview School library with Mrs. Tipton - and no library has ever again felt as magical. She convinced me to try out Moby Dick, Little Women, and other great stories, while my classmates were generally searching for the smallest, least-involved books to read for book reports.

I have known Mrs. Tipton forever. Our parents always played cards with them on New Year's Eve into the day. Memories!
