Not sure what to say?

I just stumbled across Lori's memorialized Facebook page to find out that she passed away more than 4 years ago. I'm shocked and saddened by this news. It's been many years since we were last in contact but I do think about her often. I have such fond memories of the times we spent together having fun and laughing in that old piece of crap yellow Beetle. I always hoped it wouldn't start so she would call me and ask her to pick her up on my way to work at Acme. That meant we usually would hang...

It's a rarity today in Ohio, clear and sunny in late January, so I ventured out into the woods to collect my thoughts and feelings about the death of my former girlfriend and subsequent friend of over twenty years. Lori would have loved the rewards of my hike, snow crunching beneath my boots, white-tailed deer eying me skeptically before gracefully bounding over dead logs, a red-headed woodpecker sounding his search for dinner, a large icefall glistening as it cascaded over granite cliffs....

Wedding Day 1993

Carrie - I'm so sorry we never had a chance to meet. I remember Lori - with a sparkle in her eye - telling me all about this "wonderful new woman" she had met in Seattle while we were shopping at an art gallery in Akron many years ago. The last time I saw Lori she was in Denver visiting her brother. My oldest was just one then and I was struggling with work/home balance issues. She gave me some great advice which I have since given to many other moms. Lori lit up every room she walked into...

Sharing in my wedding day August 1993. Love you Lori!

Dear Anita, Tom, David and family members,
Although we never got to meet Lori, we're sure she was a woman who left her joy everywhere she went and with all those whose lives she touched. Our prayers are with all of you.

Dear Anita and Tom, The only way I know to how to communicate my sincerest condolences is to share with you my previous FaceBook post. I hope our paths cross again so I can give you the hug that I'd like to.

"There really are not enough words. I will miss my dear friend Lori Robb immensely. She fills this world and all our lives with joy, love, integrity, courage, authenticity, laughter, and absolute brilliance. She is one of a kind! While my heart is heavy, I am at peace knowing that...

David/Anita - you don't know me but I was one of Lori's many friends in Seattle. We parents all feel a little bit of your pain in losing your daughter. But you should take comfort in the knowledge that she was a remarkable woman and much loved out here in the PacNW.

My heart aches for your wife and family. Rest in Peace dear sweet Lori! May the angels sing your praises.Judy Cosgrove Rosenberg

Dear Eric,

Sorry to hear of the loss of your sister. I am thinking about you. Heather always spoke highly of Lori! Uncle Mark and I send deepest sympathies to you, Carrie, your parents and all Lori's family.
