Lori was my husband's longest-standing friend. She was the one and only witness at our wedding, her signature on our marriage license making us legal! I loved being with her every time we visited, West Coast or East. She was so witty and wise, so calm, so thoughtful and hadn't a judgmental bone in her body. I miss her terribly but am comforted to know her illness hit fast but mercifully not too terribly painfully. It breaks my heart that we won't get to hang out with her any more. But...
