Not sure what to say?

Dr. Matheson & Family,

So sorry to hear of Lorna's passing. She was a wonderful woman who always treated us with love and kindness. She raised a wonderful family.

Best wishes,

Shane & Daphne Cannon

Dear Steve, I am so sorry that you have lost your sweet Lorna. In a sense we have all lost her. From the time I knew her at East High School I realized what a kind and loving person she was, and secretly envied you for the special place you always had in her life. She was exceptional in every way, and it seems as if the sun is a little less bright since her passing. I send you my love at this time. I'm only sorry that I didn't learn of her passing until it was too late to come to her...

Dear Steve,
The Matheson family name has had significance in my life since I was a little kid attending Douglas Grade School. One of my friends at Douglas and East High was Scott Matheson, your brother, and I recall going to his house on 9th South a time or two to play. Then you, Steven, came into the picture as one of my brother Leonard's "best friends". Over the years I met you and Lorna a few times and I heard so much about the two of you from Leonard and Alene, that I wish to...

We met Steve and Lorna when our son married Mary's sister. The Matheson's are people who know no strangers. They spread their arms wide and embrace each that comes into their lives. Lorna was such a warm, loving, exciting woman! The few times we were together will always be remembered. Much love and sympathy to her dear family.

Dearest Uncle Steve, Stevie & Teresa, Mark & Jenny, Big Mike & Mary,
Mark and I simply can't express our profound sadness over Aunt Lorna's passing. Sending you our deepest sympathies seems like so little right now and yet we do so in the hope that you will somehow feel our hugs and warmth across the miles. Aunt Lorna was an exquisite force of nature and to know her was to be enriched by her zest for life and enfolded in the love and kindness that always flowed from her. Mark, our...

Dear Steve,
I will never forget the fun times I had with Lorna in PTA at Douglas School. That is where I first met her. She was a wonderful and dedicated person. She did so much for the school system in Salt Lake City. She introduced me to you for my Dentist. I was looking for a new one and she assured me that you were very good. She told me I told Steve if he ever hurt me he would never get in my mouth again, and you never did. You got me over my fear of the dentist. She and I had...

Big Steve, TD, Mark and Mike,
I continue to be flooded with the greatest of mental pictures of my brief times with you all and Lorna. What a gift she is to me. Her grace and elegance and sincere love of all of us will be the gifts I will carry with me in remembering this lovely lady. Although my visits were brief with her throughout the years, she made me feel so loved and special. I know everyone she has met feel the same. This was her special gift. And so many more. I love you all...

I've known Lorna and her family for many years. She was a regal woman whose life was an example to all and her commitment to good causes knew no limits. She will be sorely missed but the memory of her commitment to education, especially, will continue to inspire all who share her vision and passion. Thanks for making us all better, Lorna. Our best to you, Steve, and your entire family.
