O'Neill Funeral Home - Cumberland Obituary

Lorraine Florence (Bourget) Beaudoin, 91, entered eternal rest peacefully on January 24, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and now solemnly held in God’s care.

Lorraine was born in Woonsocket and is the daughter of the late Leon and Jane (Weiss) Bourget. Lorraine was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Alfred Beaudoin who passed away in 2013, after 57 years of marriage. She is lovingly survived by her two children, Diane C. Beaudoin and Claire J. (Beaudoin) Parvin and her husband Michael P. Parvin, and her cherished grandson Curtis M. Parvin and wife Deborah (Woolley) Parvin, and many dear family members and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Lorraine lived a long and meaningful life grounded in faith, family, and friends. Her devotion to her family and friends, and a generous heart shown by living a life through kind gestures and unwavering care for those she held dear or needed help, especially her compassion for others. Lorraine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and a steady presence in her community whose prayers, wisdom, and gentle guidance shaped the lives of those she loved. Her faith was woven into her daily life. She found comfort in prayer and strength in knowing she was “a servant of her fellow man,” donating her time on Earth to help clothe, furnish, and feed the less fortunate whenever she could. She was known for her sharp and witty humor and keen sense of values and faith. Her home was a place of warmth and welcome, always opening her kitchen for everyone to dine. She taught by example what it meant to live with grace, to endure with dignity, and to love without condition. These simple joys brought her great happiness.

Lorraine enjoyed caring for people through her talented skills, such as hair stylist, avid cook, superb seamstress, and dining out with family and friends. Her greatest enjoyment was the family get-togethers on Sundays for grilling, sitting in sunshine, and popsicles. In her later years, she spent time loving her great-grand dog Reba and feeding her treats.

We rejoice in the promise that she is now at peace, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her, and welcomed her into the loving arms of her Savior. Though we grieve for her passing, we are comforted by our faith and the assurance that her soul rests in eternal light. Her love and faith live on with all who knew her, which remains her greatest legacy.

In Lorraine’s memory of a life well lived, a mass will be held to celebrate her life and give thanks to God for the gift she was to all who knew her. Her relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial February 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM in Saint Agatha’s Church, 34 Joffre Avenue, Woonsocket. The family will receive guests from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM, prior to the Mass in Saint Agatha’s Church. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family invites charitable giving in her memory to be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.

Not sure what to say?

You and my mother were like kindred spirits-I pray you have met in heaven and are now guarding all of us.

Diane and family, I’m very sorry for your loss.
