Lorraine Agnes Capone, 84, of Lakewood, died Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Born in Union City, she lived most of her life in Brick before retiring to Lakewood with her husband in 1994. An active member in the Brick community, Lorraine taught dance, coached softball, and worked for Farley's Printing and Alan's Florist. She was a founding parishioner at Church of the Visitation, a member of the Gay 10 of Brick, and the Mother's Club at St. Mary's Academy, Lakewood. Lorraine was a devoted mother and grandmother whose favorite job was babysitting her grandchildren. She loved old movies and music, and enjoyed playing cards, annual family vacations to Atlantic City, and following her grandchildren's activities - she was an honorary member of the CJAC swim team.

She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony "Pop" Capone; her parents, Alexander and Mary Nowek; brothers, John and Jerry Donohue and Harold Nowek; her sister, Florence Sotteralli; and daughter-in-law, Lorraine Capone. Lorraine is survived by her children, Anthony and Marybeth Capone, Patrick Capone, Pamela Capone-Mason, Susan and Thomas Sabo and Mary and Anthony Pascale Sr.; and 10 grandchildren, Melissa, Christine and Christian Capone, Ashley Mason, TJ, Alex and Deenamarie Pascale and Samantha, Alexis and Rebecca Sabo. She is also survived by many other loving family members.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 11 at Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, 885 Mantoloking Rd., Brick. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Visitation, Brick. Interment will follow at the NJ Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.
