Lorraine (Willett) Drummey

Lorraine L. Drummey joined her loved ones in heaven on September 1st, 2015. She was 79. Known for her sharp sense of fashion and style, she enjoyed many interests and hobbies. An avid reader, she was called "Book Woman" by some of her fellow patrons at the Maplewood area coffee shops she frequented. She loved ballroom dancing, quilting and needle crafts, and collecting the things she loved, from teapots to DVDs to fabric. Her only regret was not having traveled as much as she would have liked. She lived most of her life in Malden and was retired from AT&T after 36 years of service. She leaves her beloved daughter Dee Drummey Boling, her daughter's husband Randy, and her grandson Dylan, all of New Orleans. She also leaves her brother Richie Willett of Malden and her sister Marlene Willett of Everett. She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer (Spike) and Catherine (Kay) Willett and her sister Virginia Cummings. Her lively sense of humor and caring and compassionate spirit will be missed by many in Maplewood and beyond. Donations in her memory may be made to the St. Labre Indian School (stlabre.org) or to the local animal shelter or welfare organization of your choice. Friends can also honor her memory by taking a trip put off for too long and living life to its fullest as she did. A memorial gathering will be planned for a future date.
