Lorraine V. Gibson

Lorraine was an exemplary model of steadfast faith. I never would have gotten to know the Notre Dame area so well if it wasn't for her to come see! She was there as a great-aunt to play with me as a little girl, and there to talk with and respect me as a growing woman, finding our generational threads of commonality and perspective together.

We will miss Great Aunt Rainey. She always had a smile on her face and could make anyone laugh. Rainey and Grandma Marge were always so funny together; just like two peas in a pod. I remember them laughing so hard they would cry - on multiple occasions. Rainey was a wonderful lady and will be in our hearts forever.

I'll miss Rainey's great smile and the love she always gave us. I have such fond memories of our visits with her in South Bend and St. Paul. Thinking of you guys and wishing we could be there to celebrate Rainey's life.
