Lorraine and Sandy Rudolph c. 1934

This is a picture of my mother, Lorraine Rudolph, and my grandfather, her father, Sandy Flynt about 1934 at her house at the corner of Shattalon Dr and Old 421.

LORRAINE WAS A VERY SPECIAL PERSON - A GOOD FRIEND, A GOOD MOTHER,A GOOD GRANDMOTHER, A GOOD PERSON. SHE WILL SURELY BE MISSED BY MANY.

One of the highlights of my summer visits was spending the day at Mrs. Rudolph's home. She always made me feel like an honored guest, even though I was only 10. Heartfelt condolences from the grown-up ten-year-old who can still taste the cucumber sandwiches and learned what it meant to be a real Southern lady.

Mrs Rudolph was a very dear and wonderful person. Also, very generous toward our family and others. We appreciated her warm smiile and grasp of english language which grew with the use of her dictonary that was always in her study. We would like to express our deepest sympathy to the family, especially to Patsy and Beverly, who we enjoyed getting to know as well. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of her family during this time of grief.

It was thru Mr. Otto Zenke that my wife and I were privileged to become acquainted with Mrs. Rudolph. Having worked in her home until my disability in 1992 at which time my son, Randy Hicks and his wife, Penny took over. May the God of love be with the family. (II Corinthians 13:15)
