Lorraine Marie Scott

I can´t wait to celebrate her in a few weeks with my cousins. John and I have so many wonderful memories- from going to her Mill Valley house as young teachers living in and teaching in San Francisco, and being spoiled by her cooking, stories and love. We met Lorraine while travelling in Guatemala in 1982 and had a wonderful time with her there. She was so much fun - we were barely aware of the 22 year age difference between us. She stayed with us twice on visits to Australia and she was a marvellous house guest. Lorraine was so full of life and laughter - we treasure our times with her and feel very grateful that we got to spend time with her. Also - she was a beautiful letter writer. She touched us deeply. I´ll always remember sneaking around the cruise ship with her when I first met my future mother-in-law. She introduced our family to Thai food, which we all love. Yellow curry and massaman curry are regular favorites. The time spent in Pagosa Springs were special too. Oh to have met her sooner. I enjoy reading what others share about her. I plan to save those comments for my kids (her grandkids) who are only teenagers.
