Lorraine Deagle (Deagle) Swisher, born on October 25, 1934 in Twin Falls, Idaho, to the late Pauline Stephens Deagle and the late Harold F Deagle, passed away at age 84 on April 29, 2019 in Kirklland, Washington. Lorraine graduated from Idaho State University in 1955 and University of Washington for graduate school in 1971. She was an Elementary School Librarian at Hazelwood Elementary, Renton until retiring in 1998. Lorraine was the beloved wife of John B Swisher. She was preceded in death by her son, John Edward Swisher. Lorraine is survived by her son, Thomas Harold Swisher; daughters, Karen Lorraine Swisher Peterson, Mary Elizabeth Swisher Sayre, Barbara Jean Swisher Greenough, and Janet Lee Swisher; sister, Mary Jean Lord; grandchildren, Benjamin Peterson, Paul Barnhart Sayre III, Kathryn (Kat) Sayre, Elizabeth ( Elle) Sayre, Lexie Sayre, Mary Greenwood, and Des Swisher; and great-grandchildren, Benjamin (Makai) Peterson, Oswyn Lorraine Peterson, and Helena Ross. Lorraine's hobbies included playing piano, camping, world travel, reading, and entertaining. She was a member of Sweet Adelines and the Democratic party. Those who wish may donate in Lorraine's name to National Parks Foundation, Mary's Place, or your favorite cause. Friends and family members may attend the celebration of life, officiated by the family, on Saturday, May 11 from 11:00 to 5:00 a.m. at Pembrook Meadows, 11413 SE 66th St, Bellevue, Washington, 98006.

I taught with Lorraine at Maple woods Heights in Renton. She had a wonderful sense of humor. I'll always remember her playing her violin as she headed a line of children back to their classrooms. I'll miss you, Lorraine.
