I am sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

My thoughts and prayers go out to David, Don, Doug and Julie's families as they travel through this tough time in their lives. I'm sure she is singing at the pearly gates. I sure do have fond memories of Aunt Lorraine and especially remember when she came to visit Brian and I in Dallas. We had such fun! Please stay in touch.

There are not adequate words for me to express my sorrow, but we have talked many times and we both know regardless that she is with her heavenly father and not suffering. Those words are not easy for me and you know why and it will not be easy for you, but we have to trust in the Lord and he will help each of you duing the days ahead, just continue to trust in our Lord and Savior and he will take care of the rest. I only had the pleasure of meeting your mother that one time, but...

You are in a better place watching over all of us now to steer us in the correct direction throughout life, and for that we are thankful. You will always be remembered here b/c you were such an inspiration to so many people, especially your family. I love you!

You know I will always remember your mom. Everytime people rave about my cucumber sandwiches, I say, "They're not as good as the lady's who taught me to make them." I always give your mom credit. I enjoyed knowing her and singing with her. She was a lady, gracious and kind and giving.

I am Rev. William I. (Bill) Gay, Jr, of Washington, NC and brother of the late Willard Gay. Lorraine was such a blessing to Willard's motel and housing business. Willard told me many times how valuable she was to his business. I talked to her occasionally when I visited Willard at the motel. She was always so friendly and also an elogant lady. She will be remembered for her professionalism and kindness.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all in this time of sadness. During the next months it will be the happy times to remember,for in remebering our loved ones they are always with us and are never forgotten. Your mother was a lovely women and will be missed by all of her family and friends. The Bayard Davis family (your cousins).
