Not sure what to say?

I have fond memories of Bob Miller at Oakdale Church from the time I was 5 years old. He was a wonderful gardener, always taking care of the lawn and flowers at Church. Every Sunday he ushered and greeted everyone. He was a living witness, showing the love of God at every opportunity. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time.

We'll always remember Bob with his big smile and his hand out to greet everyone that entered Oakdale United Methodist. He brought much joy and love to so many.

Our prayers and thoughts are with the whole family.

Bob was such an energetic, positive and God loving person. I've known Bob since my baptism at Oakdale in 1968. I'm 42 now. We went to see a Tigers game back in the early 1990s. He told me stories of his rail road years and how he had worked 3rd shift for most of his career. It was fascinating to speak with him. And of course, there were the conversations about the Michigan football games every Sunday in the fall. He was my friend. The world lost quite a man with his death, but heaven...

Mrs. Murphy and Family~ You will be in our thoughts and prayers. We love you.

When we think of Oakdale we think of Bob Miller. He not only greeted and ushered but he worked hard keeping the whole building in good repair. And how he loved planting the flowers in front and taking care of them all season.

Bob loved his sports and we remember many Sunday morning conversations about the Michigan football game the day before.

To Bob's family we send our love and sympathy. Because we are out of town we will not be able to see you at this time, but...

To Bev,John,Roberta,Chris ,Ken and family. Our deepest sympathy on your loss of Bob. He was such a joy to talk to especially the railroad, sports, family and life in general. Bob had such a big heart with the way he touched everyones lives. I remember going with him and dad on newspaper drives for the church. going to softball games always supporting our teams. Talking about working with my uncle Rod on the railroad. Bob will surely be missed by one and all. My God bless your family at...

I'm so glad to of had the chance to get to know Bob (grandpa). I'm marrying his grandson this summer, and his memory will be apart of that day. You have a wonderful family who loves you very much. Laura

Friends and family of "Bob" Miller - It was an honor to serve as Bob's "pastor" early in my ministry. He taught me how to have a ministry of hospitality and to be truly welcoming. He will be missed as Oakdale will be missed.
Blessings in Christ - all

As a chaplain at Clark, it was a special joy to me to be greeted by Bob as I walked into the room of residents ready to pray and sing together. He would get all excited and call me from across the room to come over and see him. Sometimes he thought I was a long lost friend from his childhood. But really, it didn't matter who you were, Bob continued his ministry of greeting every last one of us. He joined in on the songs and his simplicity and joy touched all of us. Thank you for sharing...
