Lorry Roberts

Lorry was one of my early mentors when we served on the Idaho Commission on Women in the 1970s, along with Betty Penson Ward, Maxine Bell and Anne Pasley Stuart. A decade or so later, we began working together in book publishing. We enjoyed many competitive Scrabble games over the years, and it was always good to be with Lorry. She worked hard but never forgot to smile.

I met and became acquainted with Lorrie as a member of the In-Plant Management Association (IPMA) in the 1990s. She was a very active member and, as I recall, seldom missed a meeting. Lorrie always - ALWAYS - had a humorous and educational anecdote to relate at meetings. When she spoke, everyone listened raptly, as we all knew we would enjoy the story and generally learn from it. I vividly remember Lorry when I joined Soroptimist in the 1970s. She was with JR Simplot at that time. Certainly an active, productive life well lived! My condolences to Lorry's family.
