Not sure what to say?

I worked with Lottie for a number of years in as disability & legislative activists. We became friends as the mother of children with disabilities. In the early 1990s, Lottie was the awarded Advocate of the Year at the annual Area 4 Board Legislative Forum. My father, also a Ft Bragg native, created a beautiful statue for her as an honorarium. May all who loved & admired Miss Lottie be blessed with memories of her wonderful warm smile and intelligent activism! Peace, Rachel E. Ford, ThM...

In the 1980's, I was a young mother of a child with disabilities. Lotte's book about her special daughter, Barbara, really helped me through those early difficult times. By lucky happenstance, I met Lotte two years ago at a birthday party for a mutual friend. She was as intelligent and kind as I expected her to be. I didn't know Lotte well, but I'll miss her.
