Not sure what to say?

I managed the TradeWinds in the 80's and knew Lou well. He was as important a part of the club as the palm trees, waterfalls and flaming Mai Tais. Lou would work the Happy Hour crowd which consisted of the 'regulars' made up of retirees, Old Merchant Seamen and locals. By the time the band arrived for that evenings show (usually a rock or blues band) the mix of patrons was as eclectic as you could find anywhere in town... and it really worked! Lou was a Seattle icon and legend and I am lucky...

I met Lou in 1962, the year my father Ronnie Draper made the recording of "Summer of '62". The Tradewinds was a great place, and over the years I would pop in and sit in for a couple of tunes.
Lou will be missed!
