Not sure what to say?

Dear Vranes and Judkins Families,
I was so sorry to hear of Lou's passing especially so close to Joan's death. However, my memories of Lou were when I was going steady and eventually became engaged with Kent before he went on his mission. We all worked together at Judkins Company constantly competing to see who could string the blinds the fastest. My day, Ed Gustavson was General Manager until his death. I remember going to family dinners and family reunions at the farm. Lou was always...

I have always admired Joan an Lou. Even though I was one of the "next" generation cousins, they always knew who I was and always welcomed me with open hearts. It was always a pleasure to see them at the Stewart reunions, even as far back as when they were at the farm. I shall miss seeing their faces at the future reunions. I believe they are at the "BIG" reunion with all of our ancestors in the Stewart clan. I wonder, if even now, with all of the visiting and catching up, in heaven, if...

I remember Lou from the "Day's of working at Judkin's".

Lou would get so "Red in the Face" when I would tease him and call him "Uncle Lou". He'd get so flustered and say "I'm not your Uncle!!" then I'd call him Dad!

Lou had a heart of gold (except when it came to pens. Lou wanted the old one back and would take a lighter to the end of it, to make sure it was indeed out of ink, before he would give us a new one)
and his eyes would sparkle when he spoke of his wife, kids, and...

I will always remember the first time I met Lou..I thought he had just landed in America from Italy.. he had the same infectious smile that many of my kin shared with all us..Lou had the ability to share his positive attributes & make a gloomy day seem bright..the whole Vranes familia has been blessed by Lou's example & his love & implementation of the teachings of Jesus Christ..my families love & sincere sympathy..Vic Deauvono & Familia

I want you to all know what a wonderful Uncle I feel my Uncle Lou was. Whenever I was greeted by Uncle Lou I was graced with a handsome smile and wonderful deep voice that I will always remember. I have been touched by Lou as well as Joan and have many wonderful memories. Memories that include family Thanksgivings, basketball games as well as many laughs and smiles.

I am sorry I cannot be there with you but my Uncle Lou will truly be missed by all and I will always remember his...

One of the greatest love stories, now continues in eternity. How blessed we are to know and love Lou and Joan. He is a noble man, and he will be missed. Our prayers are with the all the family. We love you!

We were so very lucky to have had a wonderful conversation with Lou Wed. evening. He looked wonderful and said he felt so refreshed after his great cruise with the Judkins family. He also told us of his upcoming fishing trip, and the great love he had for his family. We feel so blessed to have been their neighbors. Lou gave much to his family as did Joan, and we know how special all of their kids were to them. We love you all, and may the Lord bless you at this time.

Dear Family,
Lou was a special cousin, and my memories of our summers together growing up are delightful. Jean and I have enjoyed visiting with Lou and Joan during our own 48 years of marriage, and we enjoyed attending the 50th wedding anniversary celebration for Lou and Joan. Lou was about a year younger than I and seemed strong and vigorous. I expected that I would go long before he did. I feel in shock. Best wishes to his wonderful family.

Lou Vranes was defiantly one of my hero's. I think everyone who knew him would agree that he had an unmatched quality of humility and powerful presence interweaved together that was true quality of greatness not found very often in this world. He was a pleasure to be around and a great example to all who knew him. What a romantic and powerful ending to a great love story. For Lou to now to be reunited with his lovely wife and only have to be separated for a short four months is true...
