Not sure what to say?

I went through Army basic training back when Fort Ord was still an active Army Installation. Drill Sgt. Montes was the senior drill instructor when I arrived in early August 1973. His calm and steady and unflappable demeanor served to give his subordinate drill instructors a similar technique in getting all of us through this seemingly difficult time while we ran, marched, trained in hand-to-hand combat, qualified with our M-16A1 weapons, familiarized with the Light Anti-Tank Weapon, the M-60...

My family has known Louie for approximately forty years. My husband Charles, I and my children have nothing but GOOD to say about Louie. He also was likes by every one in the neighborhood while living in Marina, CA for about 32 years. he was one of a kind, friendly and good to everyone. He surely will be missed. Adieu till we meet again, Louie. Maria Baker

To his family and friends my condolences go out for your loss. I regret that I was never able to meet him. I grew up with only pictures of him. May he rest in peace.

My dear Uncle Louie,
I can't express the sadness I feel that I can't be there for your services. I have so many warm memories of our families being together. I've imagined your reunion with Maria, Lucy, your parents, and grandparents, and the thought of that reunion brings me comfort. I look forward to the day I'm reunited with you, and until then, I know you'll be watching over us all. ❤
