Read MoreMy general memory is that he gave wise counsel. Philosophical. He had answers and solutions for many issues and problems. But one of the enduring memories is going to visit him with Susan to find him with his caregivers in a large and beautiful house off of 98th Avenue near Golf Links--very green. There was a wide-screen television, and he chatted with us but kept a watchful eye on the baseball game.

My lasting memory is visiting Louie with Susie near 98th in Oakland--a very large house in a pastoral setting. He was watching baseball and doing analysis while he visited with us on a sunny but cool Northern California day.
