Our heartfelt sympathy goes to the Apter and Peck families.
My earliest memories of shopping for clothes harken back to the the "Marvel of Main Street, Manchester", where Lou and Bernie made everyone feel like a prince. I remember going with my Dad to buy my Bar Mitzvah suit at Regals, and going with my prom date to rent my unbelievable green velvet tux with the even more incredible ruffled shirt and oversized bowtie.

Mr. Apter gave me my first real job in Regal's in 1969. The thrill of the 2 for 1 sale, working with a wonderful, caring group like Mr. Synder, Kramer, Mike, Geno. A great learning experience under the direction of a kind and gentle, soft spoken man. I will remember him well for these qualities.

Louis Apter and my father, George Slossberg became co-horts in crime when my father worked at Regals in the 80's and 90's..He also regarded Louis as a close friend and had many stories to tell...

Right before my dad took a turn for the worse, Louis took my dad out to lunch at the famed SHADY GLEN's on Rt. 44.. There they had their usual cheeseburger, cole slaw and ice cream. My dad like the Maple Nut but...
