God bless Lou Baldwin for all that he has left us with. Much love n peace in our lives. I didn´t personally know mr Baldwin but I prayed with Rita often at our prayer groups at st Leo´s Lou raised a beautiful family and was always a strong presence at st Leo´s w his wife Rita. Love n peace to you all.

My heartfelt sympathy to Rita and Lou´s family. What a blessing he has been to SO many of us! His care and compassion for those who struggle locally and globally are unmatched as he shared their stories and challenged us to action. Rest In Peace, good and faithful servant!

I have been reading Lou's stories in the Catholic Standard all my adult life. His words were always inspiring and interesting. He really knew how to tell a story. He will be in my prayers

God rest the soul of this faithful servant of the Catholic Church! I only had the pleasure of meeting Lou a few times in person, but his journalism has been a constant source of inspiration for me in my work. I regularly reference his research (and how many journal articles cite him as well!). He once corrected me via email about several points of historical fact in an article I´d written, and my editor laughed and said that Lou probably wrote his critique from memory without having to crack...
