Louis J. Barayasarra

Both Louis and his brother, Jim, were my teachers at Kuna High School, although we knew them each as Mr. Barayassarra. Louis kept perfect order in Geometry class, with nothing more than an upraised eyebrow aimed at the student who was considering distracting the class. He was a great teacher. Geometry was probably the only math class I ever enjoyed. My condolences to the family.

Lou, I didn't know you as well as many others in your family, but I will certainly miss you anyway. I always loved you and me challenging each other to our trivia battles, even if no one else understood. It has been 45 years since I took Mr. Barayasarra's "Math Analysis" class at Capital High School but I still recall his enthusiasm for, and ability to teach a difficult subject. He was a terrific teacher and I send my condolences to his family for their loss.

Uncle Lou, You truly will be missed. I have the fondest memories of our summer trips to Idaho.
