I was fortunate to get to know Lou and Betty in the early 90's. What a wonderful man. I took to him immediately. Given all that he had accomplished and experienced in his life he was totally unpretentious and so very down to earth. Always smiling, joking, and laughing. A credit to his family and his country.
I'm happy to know that he died peacefully when the time came. Betty, he was very lucky to have you at his side all those years. I'm sure he left you with many fond memories.

JUST LEARNING OF THIS TODAY. LOU AND BETTY ARE VERY SPECIAL PEOPLE. I HAVE KNOWN LOU IN OUR WORK FOR OVER 30 YEARS. ONE OF THE NICEST PEOPLE THAT YOU WOULD EVER WANT TO BE AROUND.
HE WILL TRULY BE MISSED. "MOTHER OF PEARL" GOD BE WITH THE FAMILY IN THIS TIME OF SORROW.
