Louis E Cook
1921-2016
Louis E Cook passed away June 8, 2016 at the age of 94. Born in the small community of Speaks, Texas, October 6, 1921. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Cleo. Also preceded in death by his father, mother, sister, and six brothers.
Louis is survived by son Thomas and wife Alesha and Thomas' two children Taylor and Travis, son Glenn and wife Tina and their daughters Melissa, Chelsea, and Ashley.
Louis served 5 years in the Army, 2nd Infantry Division during WWII. The division landed on Omaha Beach in Normandy, France D+1, June 7, 1944 and continued in combat until wars end.
Louis moved to Houston in 1945, later working and retiring at the VA Hospital after 30 years of service. His favorite pastime was being on the water fishing.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 18,2016 at 2:00p.m. Forest Park Westheimer, 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077

I remember "Ink" fondly. We have old home movies showing him helping me and Buzz play games when we were little. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and I am sure he will be missed dearly.
