How blessed am I to have called this man grandfather? From him I learned honesty, gratitude, humility, responsibility and reverence. There was never any doubt that I was loved when I was in his presence. Never any doubt that he took pride in us, his family. I give thanks that his long year of suffering is over and that he is at peace. And this hole in my heart I will hold as a precious reminder of how grateful I am to have been one of his.

My Dad,
I will forever miss and love you. You never gave me any doubt that you loved me. I will remember all the extraordinary days we spent together.
