I received a phone call from someone who was in the military with Louis and wanted to find a way to send his condolences. I work at the village of New Lenox and tried to help him with this. The way he spoke of Louis it warmed my heart. I am truly sorry for your loss and know that you are comforted by the amount of people who loved and admired him. God Bless.

I am so sorry to hear of Lou´s passing. I have such fond memories growing up next door to the Dedo family. Lou was always there to lend a helping hand. He had such a big personality and great sense of humor. He is now reunited in heaven with his beloved wife Rose and his son John. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Stacy Krueger

My family & I first met the Dedo family in the 60's when they moved to Alabama Street in New Orleans. They always welcomed us into their home and hearts! Mr. Lou served his country proudly, never met a stranger and was an inspiration to many. Rest easy Mr. Lou...

I was very sorry to read of Lou's death. I know that his son, Eddie, was very devoted to him. My cousins, Lorraine and Roman, of the Ampol-Aires Polka band were very close to him in his "dancing" days. My deceased husband, Marty, and Lou's son Eddie were fellow Polish American Police Association Members for many years. God Bless him and his family. Geri Bilecki
