Not sure what to say?

I'm thinking of Paula and the family today. I'm sorry that Dr. Del Guercio is gone. What an amazing person he was. I miss those days.

I was just thinking of Dr. DelGuercio, Paula, and their family, after speaking with Paula, today. I cherish my memories of being at their beautiful waterfront Larchmont home, which their opened to host the annual luncheon of Paula's DAR chapter. They were both very active at our events, especially our Spring Fundraiser Tea and Holiday celebrations. Paula's passion was welcoming new citizens at Naturalization Court. I'll never forget the film Dr. DelGuercio made after going on a Pilgrimage. I...

Dear Paula and family:

Periodically I look up old friends and was saddened to learn of Lou's passing last year. His picture redminded me of when we first met in 1962 at Jacobi Hospital. I will always remember Lou as a friend and mentor, not only to me but also to students and house staff under his tutelage. It is with fondness that I recall the times when I visited with you and the time we were fishing together.

Since Barbara and I moved to California in 1999 we have lost some...

Dr. Del Guercio was a wonderful teacher and mentor. I was truly honored to work under him while my department was under the General Surgery Division.

I was sorry to hear today of "the boss's" passing last month. I was one of the female surgical residents who helped him gain the distinction of having graduated the most female surgeons in the country. Despite his fame as an "MCP", he was always fair, and demanding of the best of all who worked under him, and was a wonderful human being. My sympathies to his family.

My deepest sympathy for your loss.
