Louis C. Gerken

Col Gerken had been a mentor and friend beginning in the late 1960s. He conceived a new concept in AntiSubmarine Warfare, (ASCAC) which was first installed aboard USS ESSEX (CVS-9) early 1968. I was one of the plankowner operators of that concept.
