Not sure what to say?

Remembering Lou everyday is a given. The memories of the wonderful times spent with him are endless. Plays some paddles today big guy!!!

Remembering the passing of Lou three years ago just two weeks after my condolence note, my father, Paul Petro, passed away at 94 in an Alzheimers facility in Grand Rapids. When I started as a reporter at the Journal in 1969, Lou told me he had played paddleball with my Dad at the YMCA, something I hadn't known. Lou was generous, kind and thoughtful. Just now I learned of his wife Sues passing in 2018. Both Lou and Sue touched so many, many lives.

Pamela, Chris, and Family,

We are truly saddened by the loss of your Uncle Lou. We love you all and the entire family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Laura, Jeff, Robert, Amelia, Julia, and Rachel Thomson

To extend deepest sympathy to you in your loss, May you find comfort in the thought that others sympathize and care.

Dr. Danish & Staff

Sorry to learn about Lou's passing. I played paddleball in Bay City along with my father Harry Neal for many years. Jack Neal, Portage, Michigan.

Dear Sue
So sorry to hear of your loss. May your memories and faith give you solace.
Our prayers are with you and your family.
June & Jerry Troyer

Our thoughts are with Sue upon learning of her husband and best friend Louis passing. When there was heavy lifting at the sewing centers Lou was there. When he learned of my husbands love of golf he showed up with big bags of golf balls to give him. He was there to carry in and out materials on many occasions. It was a pleasure to have crossed paths with this kind gentleman and we give sue and family our condolences.

Dear Sue and all of Lou's exdended family, My condolences during what I'm sure is a time of sadness bu a time of sharing wonderful memories. I was in a bit of awe of the suave and debonaire and professional newspaperman I met when I started at the Journal right out of MSU in June 1969. And when we were formally introduced, he told me he occasionally played paddleball with my Dad at the YMCA, something I didn't know. Dad is now 94 in an Alzheimer's facility in Grand Rapids and can't remember...

Louie you will be missed so much by my entire family and I. Words can't express how much you and Sue mean to me, Kelsey, and our children. When I think back to special events in my life you and Sue were always there. I can't thank you enough for all the lessons you have taught me throughout the years, most important that Family is everything. You and Sue are such an important part of our family and always will be. Your memory will live on forever. We love you!
