Not sure what to say?

I am Spike's cousin Rocky. Yes, that's right. He was always Spike Heck to me. Last time I saw him I was probably ten years old. Loved going to Dayton to visit with Uncle Louis, June and Spike then hitting the horse track. Last Sunday I finally met his son, Louis Ryan Heck and his wife Amy and girls Juniper and Dorothea. Lovely people. Made me go looking for Spike on the Net. Sad I missed him. Hang On Spikey!

I have just learned of Louie's passing in February. I was in the 'garage band' with Louie, Doug, and Phil in high school and have many fantastic memories of our times together. I always thought that some day our 'garage band' band would play again at a high school reunion but time passes on and it was never meant to be.
My condolences to a great man with a large and caring heart.

Sincerely,
Richard Howell

So sorry to hear this news, he was always the one you was smiling at school and had the God given ability to make all of us smile. My prayers to his family. A high school classmate, Carolyn Abney Marlin

We were so sorry to hear of Louis passing. Our thoughts and prayers are being sent your way.
God Bless You All

from one drummer to another. God speed!

I'm just another classmate -- I didn't even play in the band with Louis -- but my memories of Louis are sweet ones. What an uplifting guy! My prayers are with his family and friends.

I only met Lou and Leslie a few years ago at the Winter Garden Elks. Several of the Elk members went on a cruise. We had a wonderful time. Lou was somebody that always made me laugh and smile. My prayers are with you Leslie and your family.

I'm saddened to hear that Lou has passed away. I was a classmate of Lou's at West Carrollton and just the mention of his name brings a smile to my face. His sense of humor kept us laughing on the band bus and in class as well. Many times during class! He will be missed.

From 2 fellow graduates of WCHS '65, we just learned from Steve Shade via e-mail that our classmate and friend, Louis Heck had passed away. We send our condolences to his family and friends and we especially appreciated reading the 'Louis like' announcement in the paper that was so well penned!
