Not sure what to say?

Mr Ivens was my favorite teacher hands down. I was in class 246. I’m sorry I am just seeing this. He was the only teacher who could get a teenager excited about algebra at 8:30 am by saying “get strong”

Many thabks for these kind thoughts I appreciate them. Ethel

So nice to see the things people wrote about my father; thank you, everybody. R.I.P. Dad

Great teacher...good guy...dedicated union man solidarity forever sincere condolences to the family...Herb Zimmerman

So sad to hear of Lou's passing. As one of my father Si's closest friends, I enjoyed his company, especially our friendly ping pong rivalry in my father's basement. I know my father will miss him terribly. My thoughts and prayers go out to Ethel and the rest of Lou's family.

I got that scared to death feeling. He remembered me fondly. We had a great chat. He was a great teacher, sometimes...

Love this photo of Uncle Lou. I have such wonderful memories of him.

I am so sorry to hear of Lou's passing. I taught with Lou at Overbrook High School and at Central High School. He was always cheerful and positive. I pray that Lou's wife, family and friends will find comfort in their wonderful memories of Lou.
