Louis Noffsinger Obituary


  
LTC. LOUIS RAYMOND NOFFSINGER  
On Tuesday, September 13, 2011; Lou was born on March 25, 1911 in Campbell, Minnesota and raised in Montana where he obtained an Engineering degree at Montana State University in 1936. He spent 28 years of active/reserve duty in the US Army. As a civilian, his employment included the Corp of Engineers (Fort Belvoir), the Bureau of Standards (Washington, DC) and Sandia Corp (NM). In his 44 years of retirement, he was a world traveler, master woodworker, photographer, philanthropist, and the family and neighborhood patriarch. He was predeceased (1987) by his first wife, Eva. He is survived and missed dearly by his wife, Marie-Jose, daughter, Mary (Doug Myers) and will be remembered by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren Amy (Trevor Wallworth), Adam, Hannah, Amelia and Louis as their Mandaddy. Special thanks to the medical staff on 5E, Building 10, Walter Reed Medical Centre at Bethesda, in particular 2nd Lt. Hoort and Commander Bromberek. Funeral services are on Sunday, September 18, 3 p.m., at Murphy Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Blvd, Arlington VA. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Soaring Eagle, PO Box 879, Billings MT 59103-0879.
