Not sure what to say?

Lou, Although we will no longer be able to call or write to you, we will always remember you. It was great to see you again, after so many years, when you visited Rochester in 2007 for your proud induction into the Red Wings Hall of Fame. I (Arlene) hadn't seen you in years, but you were the same Lou that I really enjoyed watching play second base. I remember the days when I used to wait for your autograph following the game. Those are, and will continue to be great memories from my...

To Uncle Lou, you are now with your "sweet Lois". We will all miss you very much. I am and was so proud to call you my Uncle. All my love.

When I think of my Uncle Lou I smile because he had the funniest sense of humor - so expressive and so kind. I'll never forget him eating a Der Wienerschnitzel hot dog in two bites and calling me Lisi in a high pitched voice. His memory will forever be held in my heart. Lisa Cummings (Overland Park, KS)

Dear Lorraine:

I am very sorry to hear about your dad's passing. While it has been many, many years - I do remember his great sense of humor and wit. Love to you and your family.

My Uncle Lou,
Always there for your nieces and nephews. Always there to say funny things and teach us a new golf swing after Sunday dinners on 22nd St. You were so tall we all had to look up to you. I loved everything about you, your smile, your stories of back in the day, your love for Aunt Lois and your children. I think your appetite was one of the most amazing things to witness. How anyone could eat a huge meal then go back for another huge meal for dessert. YUM!YUM! I will carry you...

I have nothing be wonderful memories of my Grampa "Jompa". I remeber as a young child he and Grama "Joma" would come to visit us up in Oregon. He would sit for hours on end watching me to gymnastics or let me pretend to be a teacher and give him tests to take. He refered to me as "his little flower", but always said I was "tough as nails". I was always the first to brag about him to my classmates, and he would come visit at lunch time and sign autographs on napkins for the kids. I only...

Dearest Lorraine: Your Dad, Lou, was such a BIG presence in my early life both literally and figuratively. I was such a teeny little girl and he was such a tall man. I'll never forget his greeting: SUSUU! He was always so sweet to me. I'm so glad I was able to meet you all in Rochester for Lou's induction into the Red Wing Hall of Fame! Sending all my love and support to you now and always.

Dear Lorraine; Although we've never met, I've been privileged to have shared our Catholic faith with Lou over the past 10 years at St. Elizabeth Seton's Church - and more particularly at the Saturday morning "Gathering of Men" monthly meetings. He will be remembered and missed as a gentle giant who openly professed his faith and love of Christ, being a personal inspiration to me. I know Lou will hear the words we all aspire to hear from God after our life journey is complete, "Welcome to my...
