My sincere condolences to the entire family. When I first moved to Calgary from Montreal in 1981, Western Outfitters was a must-stop. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr Pomerance in person, I have heard much about him from Beverly Israel-Ikeman (niece) who was my best friend in high school (Montreal). RIP.

What a shock. Remember so many coffees with Lou and Phil at the then Four Seasons while he was on his way to the bank with his brown paper bag. We would always leave there a little more uplifted by Lou with his wit and humor, sometimes he even bought the coffee! Have now been on the coast for 28 years, but still carry his kindness and thoughtfulness with me. Never forgotten. Condolences to Phil, the family, and all his many friends.
