SCHLOSSER, Louis G. "Big Lou" of Flint, age 64, died Monday, September 14, 2009 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 18, 2009 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. Visitation 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Memorial service will be conducted by VFW Post #3087 at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery with a military service under the auspices of VFW Post #3087 Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family. Louis was born in Flint, Michigan on March 14, 1945, the son of Fredrick and Lettie (Holdorph) Schlosser. On September 21, 1974 he married Mardee Spencer. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965-1967 in the Vietnam War. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post #3087. Mr. Schlosser was employed by General Motors for 35 years, retiring on October 1, 1999. Surviving are wife, Mardee; children, Shelly and husband Glen Clark, Bobby, Michael and wife Michele, Kenneth and wife Kimberlee, Kelly and husband Corde Lewis; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, William and wife Sylvia, Eugene, Irene and husband Mark and Freida Ryder; sister-in-law, Linda; brother-in-law; sisters-in-law; many nieces, nephews and close friends. So very sorry about Louie's passing. Knew him all through high school and missed him at the recent renunion. Sincerest condolences to his family. He will be missed.

I will always remember Louie. He was so funny and a great athlete. He was a former class mate of mind at Ainsworth and also my first husband they where cousins. (Rich Fisher) My heart goes out to the family.

we just found about lou. Man did we have fun at all the games of ball and wrestling with mike and ken and our son jason. lou, and mardee you were always in our prayers and always will be Allen and Pam Rainey

So Sorry to hear about Louie, I knew him from Ainsworth (Class of 65). He had a great personality, and was a great athlete. He will be missed.
